Day 1 (April 22nd) – Leave Dublin at 6:40 am on Wednesday 22nd April arriving in Hamburg by 9:45 am. Coach transfer to the hotel and check-in. This day will be free for the afternoon to allow you explore Hamburg and relax after the early start. Dinner in the hotel each evening
Day 2 (April 23rd) – An organised two- hour boat tour of the harbour and port. After this you will have your own time time to explore the town to visit the various museums etc.
Day 3 (April 24th)– Guided walking tour of Hamburg looking at the Hanseatic League influence on the city, the role Hamburg played in WW2 and the bombing of the city in operation Gomorrah. The impact of the 1962 North Sea floods on the town.
Day 4 (April 25th)– Coach transfer to Berlin (4 to 4.5 hours) stopping at the Sachsenhausen Memorial, lunch in the Oranienburg Palace area, check-in to hotel in Berlin and dinner in the evening each evening.
Day 5 (April 26th)– Tour of the Reichstag area with a guide seeing the various historic items, Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarden Zoo, Holocaust memorial, remains of the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, the ‘Ghost Stations’of Berlin ending with a panoramic view of Berlin from a special viewpoint overlooking the remains of the wall.
Day 6 (April 27th)– Coach tour to Potsdam/Sanssoucci area.
Day 7 (April 28th) – Check out of hotel and deposit your bags at the hotel. A free day till the coach transfer to the airport for a 9:55 p.m. flight back to Dublin
